Our next stop after Mackinac Island was Germfask, a small town (very small), in the upper peninsula of Michigan.

These are the upper falls of the Tahquamenon Falls.  These are supposedly the 2nd largest falls east of the Mississippi river, (the first is Niagra Falls of course). The only way to get to this side (from where this photograph was taken) of the falls is to take the Toonerville Trolley and a steamboat.  The steamboat docks about a mile above the falls. From there we hiked a trail to this location.  The people you see on the other side drove to a scenic look out.
